Western Soaring

We made it back from the Western Soaring Competition at North Battleford. We had a really good time, and I had some good flights. We managed only one landout (me), but it was at an airport, so we were able to do an aeroretrieve (much to the relief of Kelli, who was acting as chief babysitter and ground crew)

For my birthday, I got a bunch of running gifts. I got a subscription to Canadian Running magazine, a Road ID, and best of all -- entry to the half marathon at WDW in 2009!

I managed to do all my training runs while in North Battleford, so I feel like I'm ready for my 10K on Sunday. I feel prepared to do the race in under 60 minutes, so that is my goal. I will blog a race report on Sunday or Monday before we take off for our next summer adventure on Wednesday - a trip to Inuvik for the town's 50th anniversary celebrations.
