Intensity

I realized something this morning with my training. (This may sound negative, but it's actually a positive) My training is not getting any easier!

As the days progress, the intensity remains the same, however each day it seems I increase either the time or the distance. This is progress. This week, all of my runs are 25 minutes straight. The first time I did this workout, I had to drop the pace down for several minutes (although still running). Today when I did it, I did most of it increasing my speed for 2 minutes at a time, and only dropped the pace for a 2 minute recovery in the middle. My overall pace today was the fastest I've done so far (0:12 minutes per mile including warm up and cool down)

My other big success so far is weight loss. I somehow dropped a huge amount of weight this week, and now am down 16 pounds from when I started 6 weeks ago.

My knees which were giving me a lot of problems, have finally sorted themselves out. They are a little sore after running, but stretching and keeping them moving during the day are the ticket. They feel stronger than ever.
