I So Totally Rock!
I had a great run this morning. This was my first distance run (instead of time). I wanted to run the full 5K (3.106 miles), so that I can get ready for my race in 2 weeks. My plan was to start slow (5mph / 12mpm), then if I felt good through 4K, I would speed up. I felt fine through 4K, so I sped up to (5.3mph / 11:19mpm). With 0.1 miles to go, I pushed it up to 5.5mph to the finish. My overall time was about 36:45 for 5K. This session was done at 1% incline (which is supposedly slightly harder than running outside). Since I really didn't push myself today, and had no problems doing the distance, I think my goal of 33 minutes in the race is realistic. Anyway, I was really happy with my run today, and I think it bodes well for the future.
