It is exactly 10 weeks until my next race - a 10K as part of the Calgary Marathon. I am starting a new training plan this week. I am following a Running Room plan out of Running Room's Book on Running. The Running Room plans use a 10:1 Run/Walk interval for their training and racing. I have read through many plans by borrowing books from the library, and finally selected this book to use in my training.
My goals for the 10K
Reasonable Goal : sub 70 minutes
Happy Goal : sub 65 minutes
Ecstatic Goal : sub 60 minutes

Does that mean you run for 10 min, walk 1?
Yes, run for 10 minutes and then walk 1 minute (then repeat).
