Well, it's 9 months to the marathon, but lots of tests between now and then. Next weekend is the Tour de Airdrie. Last year I signed up for the 5K, as my first race ever. The weather was not cooperative. Read my post from last April if you'd like a report. I did 5K in 36 minutes last year--this year I would be disappointed if I manage 10K in more than 60 minutes. I'm feeling pretty good about the race, but need to make sure I concentrate on fuel and hydration this week. Luckily the forecast is still holding for decent weather next weekend.
This week I'm up to about 23 miles, with a long run of 7 miles. Still on track for my half marathon at the end of May.
